About Me:

This is my 14th year at Runkle, and my 15th year teaching.

I taught at a K-12 private school in Westport, CT before moving to Boston and getting my graduate degree

at BU in Human Movement. My undergraduate degree was in psychology from Sacred Heart University, where I played

soccer and lacrosse! (I was an All-American in lacrosse my senior year. A huge accomplishment since I had never played the sport prior to learning on that team!) In between that time, I coached field hockey and lacrosse at Wellesley College for a year.

I have been teaching health for 10 years now and love it! It's a great way to be in the classroom after so many years in the gym.

Additionally, I have the opportunity to know most of you since you were in kindergarten- it's so fun being able to teach you in both PE and Health!

In my spare time, I love to run and take bike rides. I have run the Boston Marathon and have done mini triathlons. I also love to cook, spend time with my friends and family and read. Summer is the best time to read and I just can't get enough to it! Additionally, I just love my cat Tahoe. She is 5 now, and a rescue kitty.

My favorite part of the Summer was traveling to Nantucket and the Cape, and going to Surf School in Kennebunkport Maine!

I am very excited about this year and can't wait to see what it has to offer!
